Francis Lawrence's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" has remained as the victor at the box office last weekend.

The Jennifer Lawrence-led film earned an estimated weekend gross of $51.6 million, as per Box Office Mojo. Distributed by Lionsgate on Nov. 20, the film had an approximate domestic gross of $198.3 million and an estimated foreign gross of $242.4 million, amounting to an estimated worldwide gross of $440.7 million.

While "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2" has emerged as the top film for the weekend, it was still topped by "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1." In fact, the final film installment of the "The Hunger Games" franchise has grossed the lowest among the four films.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," the second film installment, holds the highest gross among the "The Hunger Games" films, with an estimated worldwide gross of $424.7 million. "The Hunger Games" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" have made an approximate gross of $408 million and $337.1 million, respectively.

Overall, the four films of the "The Hunger Games" franchise have an estimated total gross of $1.4 billion on a global scale to date.

Peter Sohn's animated film "The Good Dinosaur" still remains at the second spot at the box office last weekend, with an estimated weekend gross of $39.2 million. After its release on Nov. 25 via Buena Vista, the film has got an estimated domestic gross of $55.6 million and an estimated foreign gross of $28.7 million, which sum up to the estimated worldwide gross of $82.3 million.

While the animated film has met its projected gross of $55 million in five days, "The Good Dinosaur" also stands as the second Pixar film that did not open at number one, behind Pete Docter's "Inside Out," Entertainment Weekly reported. However, "The Good Dinosaur" still got an A rating, indicating a positive feedback from its audience and critics.

Meanwhile, Ryan Coogler's "Rocky Balboa" spin-off "Creed" remained third at the box office last weekend, grossing an estimated $30.1 million. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan, the sports drama film has also knocked out its projected gross of $40 million in five days.

Following its release on Nov. 25 via Warner Bros., "Creed" managed to have an estimated domestic gross of $42.6 million and an estimated $2.3 million from other countries, which total to an estimated $44.9 million worldwide.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part II," "The Good Dinosaur," and "Creed" are still showing in theaters.

In December, it is assumed that fans are looking forward to seeing J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," which hits theaters on Dec. 18.
