Perennial powerhouse Manchester United FC (8-2-4, 28 points) is scheduled to host contending squad West Ham United FC (6-4-4, 22 points) at the Old Trafford this Saturday, December 5 for a 2015-2016 Premier League game.

The Red Devils, who are unbeaten in their last six matches, missed the chance to hold onto the league leadership after settling for a 1-1 draw with short-lived league leader Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last Saturday, as reported by Daily Mail Online.

Leicester's scoring sensation Jamie Vardy struck first at the 24th minute from a great counterattack play initiated by defender Christian Fuchs to give the hosts an early lead.

Louis van Gaal's men was not able to answer the challenge until midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger scored, which was his first goal since May while still with Bayern Munich, at the stroke of halftime to level the count.

Meanwhile, West Ham was also forced to a 1-1 tie by West Bromwich Albion at the Upton Park last Sunday via an own goal from vice-captain Winston Reid, according to SkySports.

Argentine forward Mauro Zárate netted an incredible free kick at the 17th minute to give the lead to Slaven Bilić's side which they took care until halftime.

However, just five minutes into the second half, Baggies substitute striker Ricky Lambert's shot was deflected and put back in the Hammers' net by defender Reid to tie the count.

United has not experienced a loss for quite some time now even though they have not been impressive in their last few games. Van Gaal would be keen on giving the team its energy back to pull off a convincing win this time around.

The predicted result is a 3-1 victory for Manchester United.
