Middling club Stoke City FC (5-5-4, 19 points) is set to face Manchester City FC (9-3-2, 29 points) at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday, December 5 for a 2015-2016 Premier League season matchup.

Stoke City lost to Sunderland, 0-2, on the road at the Stadium of Light last Saturday as team captain Ryan Shawcross was sent off at the 47th minute with a second yellow card, as per BBC Sport.

With the Potters down to ten men, the Black Cats were able to score two goals in the last eight minutes before full-time courtesy of defender Patrick van Aanholt and midfielder Duncan Watmore on the way to a rare win.

It was Stoke's first loss in four outings to drop down to the 12th spot in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Manchester City reclaimed league leadership from Leicester City after a convincing 3-1 victory over Southampton at the Etihad Stadium also last Saturday, as reported by Sports Mole.

Kevin De Bruyne got the ball rolling for Manuel Pellegrini's side at the 9th minute and was immediately followed-up by a goal from Fabian Delph at the 20th to put City on top by two points at the half.

Southampton striker Shane Long netted one at the 49th to put the Saints on the board, but Serbian defender Aleksandar Kolarov sealed the match with a winner at the 69th.

The energy is back with City and they are anticipated to sustain it in this game against the seemingly lackluster Potters.

The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Manchester City.
