New "Daredevil" season 2 details will likely feature Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, as well as an early 2016 launch date.
A new teaser video for "Daredevil" season 2 will features Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Foggy Nelson's (Elden Hensson) favorite bar Jossie's. The scene shifts to "Welcom to Hell's Kitchen. Pick Your Poison", then viewers will see a new sign that reads "Luke's" as the video ends
Marvel fans begin to speculate that Luke Cage (Mike Colter) will be appearing in the show at some point in season 2, since Luke owns a bar during "Jessica Jones" series, Collider reported. Luke Cage made his first appearance in the new Netflix series as a friend and lover of Jessica Jones (Krystine Ritter) and Marvel Studios has also planned Luke to star in his own Netflix series next year.
Aside from Luke Cage, their also speculations that Jessica Jones could also make an appearance in "Daredevil" season 2. During the final episode of "Jessica Jones", Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Matt Mudock's nurse friend was responsible for healing Luke's injuries after being controlled by Kilgrave (David Tennant). Claire knew Luke and Jessica have "gifted" abilities and casually mentioned Daredevil during a conversation with Jessica.
Another link to Jessica's appearance in the show is that the lawyers that will represent Jeri Hogarth's assistant, Pam (Susie Ambromelt) for the murder of Wendy Ross-Hogarth (Robin Weigert). are Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson, Moviepilot reported.
It seems that "Daredevil" season 2 could be the staging ground for Matt, Luke and Jessica to form MCU's version of the Defenders.
In othe news, the launch date for "Daredevil" season 2 could be near as Cox stated in an interview that they have finished shooting season 2 sometime this year and will premiere in the early months of 2016.
The "Boardwalk Empire" star also teased that the "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" Netflix series will also be in the works next year and the "Defenders" crossover could happen in 2017. "Daredevil" season 2 will feature the Man without fear facing new enemies in Hell's Kitchen and it is speculated that Hand will be the show's new antagonist.
New characters will also be introduced such as Elektra (Elodie Yung) and Frank Castle/The Punisher ( Jon Bernthal).
"Daredevil" season 2 will premiere sometime in 2016 on Netflix.
