Bottom-three club Newcastle United FC (2-8-4, 10 points) will try to snap its two-game losing skid against an inspired team, Liverpool FC (6-3-5, 23 points), as they face each other at the St. James' Park on Sunday, December 6.

Newcastle lost to Crystal Palace, 1-5, last Saturday at the Selhurst Park, as per Chronicle Live.

Senegalese forward Papiss Cissé scored the opening goal for the Magpies at the 10th minute, but everything went out of control for Steve McClaren's side from then on.

James McArthur had two, Yannick Bolasie had two, and Wilfried Zaha netted one to complete the Eagles' five-goal haul the rest of the way.

It was its Newcastle's second defeat in a row after they pulled off a rare win against Bournemouth on November 7th.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is playing inspired football at the moment, completing a two-game winning streak via a 1-0 nipping of Swansea City last Sunday at the Anfield, as reported by Sports Mole.

Vice-captain James Milner provided the winning goal for Jürgen Klopp's squad with a penalty kick at the 62nd minute to push the Reds up to sixth place in the league table.

The Anfield giants are looking good lately as new manager Klopp had only been beaten once in seven games so far in the English top flight.

The predicted result is a 3-1 win for Liverpool. McClaren and the Magpies continue their struggles this season while the Reds are on the rise.
