Lamar Odom may not fully recover from the stroke he suffered because of his drug overdose in October. But his doctors say that the former NBA star could not be confined indefinitely at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

The physicians advised a home-health accommodation for Lamar. Although he has a house, what the former Lakers player need is someone to help him recover and live with his health condition.

But reality star Khloe Kardashian, his wife on paper because they did not push through with their divorce, refused to take him in, reports IBT. Despite professing that she still loves Lamar - although she is also having an ongoing relationship with another basketballer, James Harden - Khloe rejected the idea of making her house a hospital.

One possible reason is that Khloe recently had health issues of her own resulting from her staying with Lamar in the hospital that she had to postpone her book signing tour.

Lamar does not plan to move in his former partner and children's home on the East Coast. His staff are looking for a quality care facility for the former athlete, but they are having difficulty locating one that is secure and could provide the treatment he requires.

He has difficulty re-learning how to walk and soils his underwear frequently because of ongoing incontinence. However, Lamar refuses to wear an adult diaper and would rather change underwear frequently. However, if he would continue to recover, doctors are hopeful that his incontinence problem would be eventually solved.

In November, Khloe told Ryan Seacrest that if Lamar is willing to do what is necessary to recover, such as speech and occupational therapy, it would take at least one year, reports Mirror.
