"The Walking Dead" Season 6 is on a winter hiatus. There will be no new segment airing on Dec. 6, 2015 and there will be no new episode until February, 2016. The show will pick with Episode 9 titled "No Way Out." There is not much known about this instalment, however, spoilers are already running rampant. Here are some details, based on various media reports, for the winter premiere.

In the meantime, we know that "The Walking Dead" Season 6 is set to introduce the new big bad, the leader of the Saviours group, Negan. A promo video for the Episode 9 of the show provides a glimpse of the Saviours' where Negan is mentioned for the first time. Norman Reedus' beloved character Daryl Dixon and his friends Abraham and Sasha have their first encounter with the Saviours.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott M. Gimple spoke about Negan's first appearance and how will it differ from the comics. "There are a lot of direct moments from the comic coming up in the second half and panels that we're bringing to life - from very big comic moments to really tiny comic moments," Gimple said. "Things that are not gigantic and dramatic but just little moments from the comic that all add up to some big moments. The second half is very cumulative," he added.
Meanwhile, Episode 9 of Season 6 is expected to showcase the aftermath of the attack by Walkers and deal with several cliffhangers. Maggie is injured and stranded, Deanna is dying with the infection, Rick Grimes' group attempts to escape the walker while manoeuvring through the swarm of walkers, and Sasha, Daryl and Abraham are captivated by some armed men from the group the Saviours.
According to Gimple, "The Walking Dead" Season 6 winter premiere is going to be "quite deadly" featuring some death. Episode 9 is reportedly the one of the most intense episodes.
Meanwhile, actor Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick Grimes, told Entertainment Weekly, that Episode 9 "No Way Out" is "the most ambitious, and the most epic and just insane, emotional, action-overload." What are your thoughts about the winter premiere? Let us know in the comments section below.
