The 2015 People Choice Awards was held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and was hosted by Anna Faris and Allison Janney. Top stars walked the red carpet and many took away awards at the end of the evening as well.
Among the winners were Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder as the favorite duo award, "Blank Space" hit maker Taylor Swifthe as the favorite pop artist and Chris Evans as favorite action movie actor.
While the favorite humanitarian award went to Ben Affleck, the best network drama was grabbed by the widely favorite medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy."
"Divergent" was voted as the best action movie of the year; Jennifer Lawrence the favorite actress and the very own "Iron Man" was voted as the favorite actor. The favorite movie was "Maleficent" and the favorite dramatic movie was the 2014 film "The Fault In Our Stars". Also, the best thriller movie went to none other than the brilliant "Gone Girl."
"Grey's Anatomy" stars Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey received the favorite actress and actor, respectively for television network series while Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Chris Colfer won the favorite actress and actor awards for favorites in the comedy genre.
"Castle" stars Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion both won the favorite actress and actor in the crime drama section and the favorite dramedy was won by the fresh genre "Orange is the New Black." Ellen DeGeneres won the best day time host award with Jimmy Fallon winning the best late night host award.
