Chris Hemsworth appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" on Dec. 4, Friday, where he revealed that he had been heckled by the inmates as he walked through the prison cells.

During the show, Hemsworth recalled visiting an undisclosed prison for the latter before accepting the title role for the fim. He assumed that inmates do not get to watch movies in prison and that his plan was to blend in.

"I was researching a film, and we had to go in and basically see what the inside of a prison looks like, speak with prisoners who were willing to talk to us," Hemsworth explained. He added that at the time, he was still rocking the same long, blond hair in the "Thor" films and attempted to go unnoticed with the help of a hat.

Unfortunately, one of the wardens did not allow him to wear it. In another interview with Access Hollywood, Hemsworth said that the warden even warned them that the inmates only think about ways of killing people. He said that he was a little worried having to reveal his face but thought that maybe inmates would not recognize him either way because they probably did not watch his "Thor" films.

Apparently, the inmates did watch his films as they yelled words like, "'Yo yo, Thor's here, man. Yo Thor's here, yo Thor, Thor! Where's your hammer man?" and "Yo come spend some time in my cell, baby!"

In 2014, Hemsworth was crowned as People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. Before his big break in Hollywood, he was known as Kim Hyde in the Australian TV series "Home and Away." Outside Marvel films, he also starred in "Star Trek" in 2009, Josh Whedon's "The Cabin in the Woods", fantasy flick "Snow White and the Huntsman", war film "Red Dawn" in 2012 and biographical sports film "Rush" in 2013.

Hemsworth, who is also the star of Ron Howard's biopic "In The Heart of the Sea," recently starred in the film "Blackhat." Watch a clip of the Australian actor's recent appearance on "The Graham Norton Show" here:
