UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is rumored to retire after his unification title bout against interim champ Conor McGregor whatever the result may be.

Andy Souwer, one of Aldo's primary training partners, said the main event of UFC 194 against McGregor on Dec. 12 could be Aldo's final bout.

In an interview with MMA Plus TV, Souwer revealed he thinks that the long-time featherweight titlist will retire regardless of result.

"To be honest, yeah I think," Souwer said when asked whether Aldo's upcoming fight will be the Brazilian's last.

"He will succeed this time also, and it will be a fairytale story. I'll put my money on it."

Aldo, who has been undefeated for 10 years, is only 29 years old and is still considered in the prime of his career.

However, the Brazilian featherweight has been fighting for over a decade now, with 26 bouts already in his hall-of-fame career.

His 27th will be his biggest fight and it would be interesting to see if Aldo really intends to hang up his gloves.

Interestingly, Aldo looks more focus in his bout against McGregor, who has been playing mind games with him ever since their postponed title match earlier this year.

Aldo claimed he will "run through" the Irishman, insisting that their title bout would be no different from his past fights.

"Another win. No reason to be different," Aldo said, reports MMA Fighting. "The only difference is that I always fought against Americans, and now I'm beating up an Irishman."

Both fighters were supposed to meet at UFC 189, but a rib injury forced Aldo to withdraw and instead set McGregor to face Chad Mendes. This time, Aldo guarantees he will show up in the Octagon and settle the score with the "Notorious."
