The phone has been officially released, and comes with an amazing 6.0 inch IPS-NEO LCD screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution at 368ppi pixel density. The phone features the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS with Huawei EMUI 4.0, running on a High Silicon Kirin 950 Chipset and Quad Core 2.3GHz Cortex-A72+Quad Core 1.8GHz Cortex A53 CPU.
Some amazing pictures can be captured with its 16MP primary camera, optical image stabilization and other sensors, while its secondary snapper features 8 megapixels camera. The videos can be shot at 1080p@30fps and 720p@120fps.
The i5 coprocessor built with TSMC's 16nm FinFET aids the device in reducing the power consumption, fused location provider (FLP) navigation, taking care of all the functions of sensor hub and supporting speech recognition.
The fingerprint sensor feature is placed at the back of Huawei Mate 8 that has a build from aerospace grade aluminum and unique 2.5D Curved diamond cut glass. Another interesting aspect of the Mate 8 is its 100 percent performance boost over its predecessors and still having 30 percent less power consumption, which means more performance for less power.
The phone comes with a 4000 mAh battery, promising that the phone would be running all day without going off when used quite heavily.
