Victor Rios, Vice President and GM of workstation BU and Gaming and Industry Solutions at Lenovo, stated that "our expertise, engineering, design and unrivaled scale combined with Razer's deep expertise in having served global gaming community over the last decade will create new gaming experiences."

He also stated that the new Lenovo Y series, which includes special lighting effects and styling from Razer, will give the gamers a unique experience in the gaming industry. Razer is valued at $1 Billion in terms of its market valuation, making it a notable and worth company to partner with.

The new high end gaming PC's are expected to be unveiled at the Consumer Electronic Show, CES, in Las Vegas on January 2016. Even though Lenovo had its own range of gaming PCs in Y series, they have not been able to reach the gaming community as much as Lenovo expected them to.

Meanwhile, Razer, with its own notebooks that are a definition of style and icon, might well make a difference for the new series of Lenovo Y Series Razer Edition as one can expect high end configurations with Razer behind.
