In a statement obtained by Car and Driver, Ford said, "Make no mistake, this is an American interpretation of a flat-plan crackshaft V-8, and the 5.2-literproduces a distinctive, throaty howl."

The 2016 GT350 Mustang sports giant brakes that promise unbelievable deceleration while the magnetic ride control ensures unparalleled handling.

The 2016 GT350 Mustang will replace the outgoing GT500, the most recent car to bear the Shelby badge. Unlike its direct predecessor, the GT350 is based on the S550 Mustang chassis which packs a fully independent rear suspension.

Experts agree that the newest car to bear the Shelby Mustang badge is not a regular car in terms of specs. It boast top of the line technologies coupled with age-old mechanics that makes the Shelby brand renowned in the motoring world.

Once it hits the market, the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang will have a price tag of $48,695.
