After teasing it two months ago, Google has launched its Google Play Music Family Plan, which is expected to compete with a similar plan offered by its main rival Apple.

The new plan, which was announced by Google in its official blog, allows up to six people to share an account for only $14.99 a month. Each member included in the account will be able to access all of the 35 million tracks offered by the service as well as maintain their own profiles and playlists, free of ads, The Verge reported.

Additionally, each person will be able to stream music into his one device in the same time as the others. In comparison, an individual Google Play Music account costs $9.99 month.

Apple Music, which was introduced in June of this year, offers a similar family plan at the same price range. However, Google Play Music's plan also allow account holders access to YouTube Red without additional charges. YouTube Red is a subscription service offered by the streaming site that lets users play music and videos offline and ad-free.

Two other popular streaming services, Spotify and Rdio, offer their own family plans at the same $15 price range, but limit the number of users in an account to only two.

The Google Play Music Family Plan will be available first to users from the United S, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, France and Germany. Google said that more countries will be added soon, ZDNet reported.
