The novel "Fates and Furies" by Lauren Groff is U.S. president Barrack Obama's favorite book of the year.
The New York Times bestselling author Groff tweeted, after learning the U.S. president's favorite novel this year, "I just died, came back to life, read again, died again. That's it, I retire."
"Fates and Furies," the novel about the marriage as told by each spouse, is this year's National Book Award finalist. The novel is also a New York Times bestseller and Amazon's book of the year. Moreover, the novel is, according to Washington Post, a "a clear-the-ground triumph," and, according to Los Angeles Times, "audacious and gorgeous," The Guardian reported.
"Purity" by Jonathan Franzen and "Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights" by Salman Rushdie were picked by Obama from the past few months, but "Fates and Furies" by Groff tops the U.S. president's 2015 book list, the report added.
