The latest rumors on the Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO release date appear to indicate that chief mon Zygarde will enjoy the company of two more characters aside from the earlier mentioned X and Y legends - Xerneas and Yveltal. Mons Volcanion and Dark Mewtwo will make the upcoming video game more exciting, new reports said.

Dark Mewtwo, according to Master Herald, is among the new characters that will crossover from previous Pokémon iterations to the upcoming Z and GO installments. Coming from the Pokken Tournament, if the report will prove correct, Dark Mewtwo will be joining Zygarde, who was earlier rumored as the central Pokémon Z and GO figure.

Prior to Mewtwo, Xerneas and Yveltal were the subjects of speculations, saying that in the new series the X and Y legends will be rendered as fused characters and likely playing support for Zygarde, who Master Herald said "will undergo a major evolution from a blob called Zygarde Core onto Zygarde Cell and finally into the mega-evolved Zygarde."

But Mewtwo is not the only mon that fans can look forward to. In a new report, iDigitalTimes said that Volcanion will also part of the Pokémon Z series, at least for the movie version that is scheduled for release in 2016. The online publication cited a leaked December 2015 issue of Japanese manga CoroCoro as source of its information.

Volcanion was described by the report as an odd Pokémon that was first introduced in 2014 though largely eclipsed by the more high-profile mons Dancie and Mega Stone.  The character is notable for being "the first ever Fire/Water type Pokémon," iDigitalTimes said, adding that a deeper treatment on Volcanion's backstory can be expected if indeed he will be part of the Z and GO series.

The report, however, skipped on the juicy details pertaining to the launch or release of the upcoming video games.

Fans have been hoping that the December edition of CoroCoro mag like in the past will shed light on the mystery surrounding the Pokémon Z and GO release date. As no solid clues on the matter are available at the moment, new reports stated that the actual game rollout will not happen until February 2016.
