Pichai posted his letter in a Medium post and is titled "Let's not let fear defeat our values." In his post, Pichai did not refer to Trump by name but he made a reference to the latest controversy.

Pichai wrote, "I feel we must speak out - particularly those of us who are not under attack. Everyone has the right to their views, but it's also important that those who are less represented know that those are not the views of all."

The Google executive took the reins of the company in August. He is an immigrant and was born in the Indian city of Madras, which is now known as Chennai. Pichai moved to the US as an adult in order to study.

Trump is seeking Republican nomination to run for president. Since the start of his campaign, he issued incendiary comments about minority groups in the US. His latest blunder came in a statement calling to ban Muslims from entering the US. His statement has raised the attention of industry leaders, celebrities and politicians.

In the tech community, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and hacker collective Anonymous publicly condemned Trump for his comments. According to Tech Crunch, Amazon founder and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos would like to send Trump into space.
