The Houston Rockets are rumored to be shopping Terrence Jones before the trade deadline.

Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops reported earlier this month that the Rockets are plotting to orchestrate blockbuster trade that includes Jones and Donatas Motiejunas if the team does not show any improvement.

The Rockets have shown a slight improvement ever since their shaky start in the 2015-2016 NBA regular season posting a 12-12 record, but they still lack contribution from the point guard position, with Ty Lawson struggling to give Houston what is expected of him.

The Rockets are still far from the team that reached the Western Conference Finals in the 2015 playoffs, and if they wish to keep their playoff hopes alive, they should start changing the roster a bit, which would probably be at the expense of Jones.

One possible landing spot for Jones is the Indiana Pacers, according to Maxwell Odgen of Hoops Habit.

Odgen noted that the Pacers lack frontcourt consistency, and Jones could fill that void using his overall skills and versatility on both ends of the court.

Jones would serve as an upgrade over Jordan Hill and Ian Mahinmi, who, despite the Pacers' winning ways, are lackluster at the four and five spot.

Adding Jones would also move Paul George to small forward, where PG13 plays better.

The Rockets are evidently needing a boost at the guard position, so they could trade for Rodney Stuckey.

Stuckey is only averaging 24.8 minutes off the bench, but his 10.6 points per outing would be beneficial for the Rockets.

The Real GM Trade Checker approved a deal of Jones and KJ McDaniels for Stuckey.

The Rockets have the right pieces to package in a trade, but it would probably be for a deal that fits the team's needs.
