In 2013, Nikon read 8.8%, while Apple had a 7.7% share, which means that both of these brands improved in terms of popularity, year after year.

Additionally, Apple took the spot of the "dominating mobile camera" being used on the website. In fact, it has owned seven out of the ten spots, with varied iterations such as iPad mini, iPad, and iPhone. HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S5, and Samsung Galaxy S3 were the non-Apple products to have made it to the list.

Under the "mobile camera" category, Apple owned eight out of the ten most used mobile camera spots in 2013.

According to this photo-hosting website, "Flickr has become better at identifying the mobile devices being used because our system is constantly being updated. Aside from our ability of detecting the mobile devices' brand is our reliable database for knowing the brand of the camera being used. Therefore, our separate data on the mobile devices and the brand of cameras are solid."
