New reports reveal that there are talks of reviving the projects associated with "Star Wars 1313."
Plans for the gritty video game in the "Star Wars" Universe were in progress before Disney acquired Lucasfilm. A planned live action TV series titled "Star Wars Underworld" was also underway.
Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm's president, explained in an interview with Slashfilm that the studios are going through the untouched material of both projects. Apparently, "Star Wars 1313" is likely not to go on as an M-Rated video game while the chances of "Star Wars Underworld" moving forward as a dark live action TV series are much lower.
Elements of both projects may still get used for a different TV series or in the future, in "Star Wars Anthology" movies.
The report also reveals that there are rumors of Lucasfilm possibly using these elements to produce a "Star Wars" series on Netflix. If this goes through it is expected that the mature content of the incomplete video game and TV series may get revived.
According to Overclock3d, there are also rumors of an "Anthology" film featuring squarely Boba Fett, which was set to be directed by Josh Trank. The project fell apart just about the same time the news got out that Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot turned into a horrible film.
Although "Star Wars 1313" does not exist, the news excited fans for being the first M-rated game in the franchise and focusing the very popular Boba Fett. Electronic Arts has unique rights to develop all "Star Wars" games for a period and are likely to pick up the project.
