Normally, mobile phone producers like this South Korean company Samsung should launch variants for their current flagship. One may need to be more powerful, while the rest may fit the lower or upper mid-range class.

However, this may seem not the case for the company's future phone Samsung Galaxy S7. According to reports from Tech Radar, a benchmark result from both chipsets, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 and Samsung's Exynos 8890, has recently passed outstanding scores.

The high benchmarks scores were initially posted on Weibo, a Chinese social media site. As per reports from Sam Mobile, it seems like Samsung may officially launch two variants of the Galaxy S7, one with a Snapdragon 820 chipset and the other an Exynos 8890.

According to the Single-Core test given by Geekbench, Samsung's Exynos 8890 got an astonishing 2,294 ratings. For its Multi-core, it managed to get around 6,980 ratings. Meanwhile, as for the other supposed variant of Galaxy S7, it's Single-Core test resulted to a slightly higher 2,456 ratings; however, its Multi-Core rating was significantly lower than Samsung's developed chipset.

Having said that, it may seem that avid fans of the Samsung Galaxy series will be furnished with more selections on the type of CPU they wish to get from the flagship.

Nevertheless, there remains no news yet from Samsung regarding benchmark results. It's not even clear if they will offer two variants for the new flagship. For now, it may be best to wait for the latest updates, or until the company officially announces the release of the new smartphone/s.
