There are rumors that the much-anticipated "Winds of Winter" release may happen soon, as a few production team members of "Game of Thrones" Season 6 were spotted with the manuscript.

This also implies that the television show may be following the manuscript. George R. R. Martin has teased the fans numerous times that Jon Snow may be alive in his upcoming book, so there is a remote chance that Snow may be alive and well in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 as well. He was brutally stabbed and left for dead in the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale.

According to iDigital Times, the production team of "Game of Thrones" Season 6 was seen referring to the manuscript, while directing the show. This implies that the "Winds of Winter" book may release in early 2016.

It is no secret that Martin also wants to complete the book as soon as possible. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he also teased about the various surprises in store for the readers.

He said that, "This is going to drive your readers crazy, but I love it. I'm still weighing whether to go that direction or not. It's a great twist. It's easy to do things that are shocking or unexpected, but they have to grow out of characters."

He added that, "They have to grow out of situations. Otherwise, it's just being shocking for being shocking. But this is something that seems very organic and natural, and I could see how it would happen."

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 premiere is expected in April, 2016 on HBO.
