"Fargo" actress Kirsten Dunst bid her farewell to her character Peggy Blumquist in the show. She also revealed whether the character survived the Sioux Falls Massacre and open more comedic roles.
In her interview with Los Angeles Times, Dunst said that she had not been sure if Blumquist had made it out alive. She added that they had all gotten the episodes about two weeks in advance.
Dunst also mentioned that she remembered talking to series creator Noah Hawley in the beginnin after she had gotten the job. The actress added that when she had started to work on the character, she had asked him to give her Blumquist's trajectory. Based on her recall, Dunst did not remember Hawley telling her whether Blumquist lived or died.
According to Dunst, she had known from reading the first two episodes that whateve character Blumquist would become would be a really exciting, but weird journey. The actress added that she had just been afraid that she would have had to do sexual favors to Constance to keep her quiet.
Dunst also hoped her character would open opportunities for more comedic roles. In her interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress said that Blumquist was enjoying it all too much.
The actress added that Blumquist was empowered by the whole thing and was so fun to play, and it was nice for the actress because she would have more opportunities in the comedic realm again. For Dunst, people always remembered the last thing one had done. She added that she loved comedy and really enjoyed playing odd charcters.
Blumquist, who was first seen by the audience in the kitchen, has emerged as one of the most stunning heroines in the small screen.
About "Fargo" season 3, the anticipated third season is set "a couple years" after season 1. Given the leap in time from the first season, it is assumed that "Fargo" season 3 will see characters from season 1.
