South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics could be preparing to launch its latest Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini smartphone anytime soon, after the device recently got certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).
Previously, the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini handset was spotted, with the model number SM-J105F, on the Zauba website, Spreadtrum's database and the GFXBench website in November. The phone is apparently a mini version of the Galaxy J1 smartphone that was released earlier this year.
In terms of the specs, the Galaxy J1 Mini is expected to sport either a 4.0 or 4.3-inch TFT display screen with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, according to GSM Arena. It will have a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash on the back, and a secondary VGA front-facing unit.
Under the hood, the Galaxy J1 Mini is expected to pack a Spreadtrum SC8830 processor with a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and Mali-400MP2 graphics processing unit.
The handset will run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version operating system and will have 1GB of RAM and up to 8GB of expandable built-in memory storage, Android Headlines reported. It's still unclear how large the phone's battery will be.
As for the price, the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini could come with a $50 price tag.
In comparison with the Galaxy J1, the original sports a 4.3-inch TFT display screen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It came with a 5MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing snapper, a Spreadtrum chipset with Dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and a 1850 mAh battery.
