Google has announced on Wednesday via Twitter about the price slash for the company's flagship handsets Nexus 5X and 6P by about $50. The prices, however, will depend on the amount of on-board memory that they pay for.

This Google announcement would mean that the consumers can now get a hold of the Nexus 5X, which has already started dropping prices since December 9, for just a price tag of $330 for the 16GB and $379 for 32GB or the 6P with 32GB for $450; $499 for 64GB; and $599 for 128GB, CNET shared.

Google's Nexus handsets are unlocked, which means the phones are not limited to a particular carrier. An entire Android interface is also provided without any unwanted items being thrown into the mobile users by the third-party manufacturers or carriers. Unfortunately, the mobile users are paying the premium cost for these benefits, which means that the $50 discount might be enough reason that can persuade more mobile users to choose one for the coming holidays, Slash Gear reported.

The Nexus 5X comes with a plastic body in a 5.2-inch sized and 1,920x1,080-pixel display, while the 6P will be sporting a metal body, provide a 5.7-inch sized screen with 2,560x1,440-pixel of resolution. Both of the handsets come with fingerprint sensor as an additional layer of security.

Google is also giving an overnight free shipping during the holiday season. These deals are available only to the Japan and US customers. For the next purchase of a mobile phone, now is the chance to grab one without having the need for a carrier to get it, ENGadget reported.
