Rumors say that the Galaxy S7 release date is set March 2016 and a new report from China appears to confirm the upcoming Samsung flagship rollout next year. China Mobile is reportedly issuing the GS7 at starting price of 3000 yuan or about $450.

The latest information, according to G4Games, was sourced from a recent event hosted by China Mobile, which is China's biggest network service provider with a base subscriber that numbers to hundreds of millions. The same report indicated that the giant Chinese telco intends to launch not only the Galaxy S7 but also the upcoming Huawei flagship and a number of mid-range Galaxy smartphone models.

It appears too that China Mobile users planning to pick up the GS7 will need to shell out around 3000 yuan, which roughly translates to $450. While no other specifics were mentioned, it can be assumed that the telco's GS7 starting price would apply for the 32GB variant that became the basic storage configuration for Samsung flagships beginning with the Galaxy S6.

As the report carried no further details, the Galaxy S7 specifications are based for now on circulating rumors. To date, the most notable feature upgrades is the jump to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8890 and Samsung's own Exynos 8890 M1 chip, suggesting that the GS7 is designed to deliver more mobile computing muscle and speed.

Observers are also anticipating a huge RAM bump for the Galaxy S6 sequel with the provision likely set at minimum of 4GB RAM, which should further speed up the device and improve its stability even when multitasking.

G4Games also noted on its report that while the GS7 design and build will largely mirror that of the Galaxy S6 profile, the casing material would be more robust thanks to the likely introduction of magnesium alloy to the Samsung Galaxy supply chain. Specifically, magnesium alloy is rumored as the housing material of the Galaxy S7.

On the software side, rumors have it that the next Galaxy flagship will boast of mobile operating system, still skinned with Samsung's TouchWiz, that is fully optimized with Android. Recent reports have emerged pointing to a close collaboration between Google and Samsung on this endeavor.

Prior to its March 2016 release date, as confirmed by China Mobile, Samsung is expected to unpack the Galaxy S7 as early as January next month, the introduction likely coinciding with the CES 2016 in Las Vegas.
