Fox co-chairman and CEO Gary Newman said, "There is some speculation in the press about 'Prison Break,' which honestly was slightly news to us."

"Although we've made it clear over the years to the studio that we would bring 'Prison Break' back in a heartbeat, it's probably the perfect event series," said Newman adding that it would be great if their old partners in "Prison Break" are interested.

Meanwhile, Miller and Purcell reunited on The CW series "The Flash," in which they play a pair of recurring characters, the Rogue villains Captain Cold and Heat Wave.

For Miller, the first and only name that emerged when asked who he would like to play his partner-in-crime was Purcell. He told TV Line that he is very excited that they were able to pull that together although never in a million years did he think that they would be.

Aside from "Prison Break," Fox is also considering a reboot for "The X-Files," which was a major hit from 1993 to 2002, and another edition of "24."

For "The X Files," Newman and Fox co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden confirmed that they have been in talks with series creator Chris Carter and they hope to have original series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their roles.
