Moreover, "Transparent" actor Jeffrey Tambor won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series, which he dedicated to the transgender community. In in writer Jill Soloway's critically acclaimed series, Tambor plays a father who comes out as transgender to his children.
"This is big. This is much bigger than me," Tambor said during his Golden Globes award acceptance speech. He thanked the transgender community for the courage, inspiration and patience and for allowing him to be "a part of the change."
