The much awaited Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone, which has been subjected to many leaks and rumors, is reportedly expected to sport a slim bezel design and a small fingerprint sensor that will be built into the home button.
Latest rumors claim the Xiaomi Mi 5's fingerprint scanner will be the smallest and fastest sensor in the market. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumored to be available in two versions: a 32GB model and a 64GB model.
The handset is anticipated to sport a 5.2-inch display screen with either a 1090 x 1920 (Full HD) or a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (QHD). The display could come with a 2.5D glass on top along with a curved 3D glass on the back, according to GSM Arena.
It will have a 16 megapixel camera on the back, and possibly a 13 megapixel snapper on the front. It will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system along with the MIUI 7 on top, and is expected to support USB Type-C port connection.
Under the hood, the 32GB Mi 5 version could carry 3GB of RAM, while the 64GB model will come with 4GB of RAM, both having Qualcomm's latest and most powerful Snapdragon 820 processor. The chipset will be accompanied by a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by a large 3,600 mAh battery.
It's still unclear when the Mi 5 will arrive in the market, however, according to analysts, it could come out sometime in February next year, Phone Arena reported.
