Vinyl may be making a comeback in the music scene, but insofar as the top two families in Washington DC are concerned, music streamed from Spotify makes up their Christmas song list. U.S. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden released on Wednesday their favorite Yuletide songs.

An instrumental version by Vince Guaraldi of "O Tannenbaum," a song from "A Charlie Brown Christmas," topped the list of 14 songs of Obama. For Biden, number 1 on his list is "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" by Bruce Springsteen, reports Associated Press.

Other songs on the Obama list include "Al I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey and songs by The Jackson 5, Boyz II Men, Destiny's Child, Eartha Kitt, Franck Sinatra and Whitney Houston. The list indicates appreciation for the oldies as well as younger artists which indicates that the first family embraces new technologies but still appreciate the hitmakers from the 50s until the 70s.

Biden has 17 songs from his Spotify list that features also a wide range of old and young Christmas songs such as "You Make it Feel Like Christmas" by Neil Diamond, "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" by Ella Fitzgerald and tunes by Andrea Bocelli, Percy Faith, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, U2 and Coldplay.

The Obamas activated in summer on Spotify the White House's official channel where the president and his family shared their summer daytime and evening playlists. Michele Obama also shared her International Day of the Girl playlist.

On Dec. 30, the president makes music history by being the first elected official to appear on "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," an online talk show hosted comedian Jerry Seinfeld.

The Obamas are in Hawaii to celebrate Christmas, while the Bidens are in Wilmington, Delaware. The Obamas had dinner with family and friends at the MW Restaurant in Honolulu which features Hawaiian food made from local ingredients. The first family celebrates Christmas yearly in Hawaii because the president was born in Oahu Island, reports Therepublic.
