According to her, she needs to make sure that the character that will be given to her is one that she can growth with before she actually accepts the job.

"That's how it was with 'Grey's' and 'Private Practice' creator Shonda Rhimes. With her really strong scripts and the same with 'Fargo,' which was like a perfect script and it was just an awesome experience," she said.

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old actress also revealed what drew her most to her character Addison.

"I really like a character to kind of sink into and find as many different facets as I can," she said.

In other news, if Addison were still on television, Walsh said that she doesn't have any idea what her character might have become years later.

In the previous seasons of "Grey's Anatomy," Addison and her ex-husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) got a divorce.

"I have no idea! I relied on the mind of Shonda Rhimes and all the writers for so long that - who knows! She could be on her third husband, she could be still with Jake. She could have, like, three more kids," she said.

Talking about her favorite episode, Walsh said, "I remember I loved the car crash episode of 'Private Practice.' That was really fun. It was like making a little movie," she said.
