A descendant of the Hyuga clan, Boruto is a shinobi from Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan and a member of Team Konohamaru. Since Naruto became Hokage, his son had been resentful towards him because he never spent enough time for him and his family.

Boruto trained under Sasuke Uchiha and with his father and teacher, he fought Momoshiki Otsutsuki. Because of this training, Boruto eventually came to respect Naruto and his role as Hokage but he promised to become a ninja like Uchiha, which means will take a path different from what his father had.

Similar to Hajime Isayama's "Attack on Titan" manga series' release schedule, the Naruto" manga sequel "Boruto" will publish new chapters once a month and it will be featured in the Weekly Shonen Jump.

Kishimoto will only supervise the Naruto" manga sequel "Boruto." Instead of Kishimoto, his assistant Mikio Ikemoto will do the drawing for the manga.

Previously, Kishimoto announced his plan to take a rest from illustrating new "Naruto" series. However, he seemed to have changed his mind during New York Comic Con 2015, according to Movie News Guide.

The screenplay for the manga will be written by Ukyo Kodachi, Anime News Network reported. Kodachi worked with Kishimoto as a scriptwriter in "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" as well as in the "Naruto- Gaara Hiden: Sajingenso" book.
