A female Thai model who posed naked for a photoshoot on a wooden bridge in Bangkok's Bang Khun Tien district was fined 500 baht as penalty for public obscenity. The district police wants to file more charges against the model.

The additional charges would be based on Thailand's Computer Crime Act that prohibits posting online of naked photos, reports Coconuts Bangkok.

The photoshoot was held in October on the wooden bridge leading to a mangrove. At that time, the bridge was closed for renovation, discloses Police Lt. Yod Withitpaphathamrong, commander of the Tien Talay police department.

Ironically, it is the staff who held the photoshoot that contacted the police on Friday who promised to hand over the model to authorities within a few days. The staff explains that the model - whom Thais are speculating if she is a real woman or a transgender woman - needs a few days to get over the incident.

The police official reminded Thais who pose naked in public to think of the nation's morals and social values before posting those images online.

The model was actually not totally naked but wore a few golden accessories worn by Thai traditional dancers, including a headpiece, necklace, arm and wrist bands and loincloth.

Bang Khun Tien District Director Chaturong Ponglamjiek says the photoshoot team did not seek the district's permission to shoot photos on the wooden bridge.
