Director Quentin Tarantino recently revealed why Jennifer Lawrence didn't say yes to starring in one of his movies "Hateful Eight."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the "Django Unchained" director said that Lawrence already said yes to "Joy."

"She was just doing me a courtesy to see me, I think. She was doing 'Joy.' She had to do all this publicity on 'The Hunger Games' movies. There was just no f*cking way in the world that she was available. Having said that, I'm glad I didn't cast somebody that young. I think I absolutely positively made the right choice, as far as the ages of the characters," he said.

If Lawrence said yes to "Hateful Eight," she would have played the role of an outlaw named Daisy Domergue. The role was later on given to Jennifer Jason Leigh, an actress who is much older than Lawrence.

"I'm not worrying about an actor's limitations or their pulses when I write this way - It only is the character. That character can really go and find itself any way it can, and hopefully, it completely exits on the page. Now you have to find somebody that can take it from the page and take it even further," he said.

"The Hateful Eight" will also star Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Gern and more.

The film was recently released in theaters in the United States on Dec. 25, Christmas day.
