It was the year of belfies in 2015 as celebrities displayed their backsides on the internet. Led by Justin Bieber and the Kardashians, the display of derrieres and other body parts, usually covered by clothing, made surfing the net more fun.
Of course, not to be outdone are other singers and actors known also for baring, including Miley Cyrus, Pamela Anderson and even an unintentional flashing by LeBron James, in a yearend listing by E! News.
In July, Justin Bieber broke the internet when he posted a butt selfie while he was on vacation in Bora Bora. The Instagram post generated more than 1 million clicks in a few hours, however, a complaint led the 21-year-old Canadian celebrity to delete the post.
In October, Bieber turned around and was caught by a paparazzi while he was going for a skinny dip in his private pool, again while in the French Polynesian island. However, the image showed Bieber's private parts in a state of arousal, surprising even his father at the size of his son's package and leading to an internet exchange of tweets with Bette Middler.
Say "naked," and the Kardashians must be included. To dispel rumors that she was faking her pregnancy, Kim showed her growing baby bump in a sideway pose, but it appears that her famous buns, which was the cover of Paper magazine the previous year, is more prominent than her tummy.
And before sister Khloe spent time as a caregiver for estranged husband Lamar Odom, she wrote a book titled "Strong Looks Better Naked" which justifies having a nude photoshoot. This December, she also released several images of her apple-shaped butt on Instagram and on her app.
A naked list would not be complete unless Miley Cyrus's Candy magazine cover, VMA get-up and music videos are mentioned where she prominently displayed her assets, with the nipple pasties as the former Disney actress's favorite fashion accessory.
Pamela Anderson and Sharon Stone may be in their 50s, but could give younger women a run for their money when they decided to shed once more their clothing by being magazine covers or spokesperson for animal rights. Although Pamela's stint as the last naked cover girl of iconic porn magazine Playboy comes out in January 2016, early release of the cover explains why she is on the list. Sharon, at 57, shows on the September issue of Bazaar that one can recover from a health crisis and bounce back still looking desirable as she was when she showed more than her acting chops in "Basic Instinct."
Two other men made it to the list without intentionally doing so. While fixing his yellow basketball shorts, LeBron James unwittingly flashed before millions of viewers his manhood. On the other hand, Chrissy Tiegen played a sneaky wife and snapped and posted the photo of husband John Legend's butt crack.
Vanity Fair was the venue where singer Demi Lovato showed to the world she has more than a good voice but also a sexy body. Lastly, another singer, Selena Gomez, showed how one can be nude and use the image for her album cover without looking cheap.
And to end the year, The Toronto Sun reports two fake photos circulating on Twitter of the "What Do You Mean?" singer who previously said he is not "Sorry" for being naked while snapped by the paparazzi, but despises his privacy being breached.
