Motorola is now rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for various smartphones like Moto G (2015), Moto E (2015), Moto X Style, Moto X Pure (2015), Droid Turbo 2, Moto X (2014), Moto G (2014), and Moto E (2014).

The Android 6.0 soak test for Moto X Pure Edition (2015) users had stated in November. The Android 6.0 upgrade is now available through carriers like Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular in the U.S.

Moto X Style owners in Brazil and India have received the latest software in November. For Moto X Style users in Europe, the upgrade in the beginning weeks of this month.

In the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil and India, the Moto X (2014) users are now receiving the Android M update, Android Central reported.  Since it is an OTA update, it may take more time for some users to get to access to it.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Employee Edition smartphone that is exclusively available for Verizon staff in the U.S. is now receiving Android 6.0 update. The regular edition of Droid Turbo 2 is likely to receive the upgrade soon, Droid-Life reported.

Moto G (2015) And Moto G (2014)

The Moto G (Gen 3) users are now currently receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. The official Motorola blog post has stated that the Moto G (2014) and Moto G 4G LTE (2014) are eligible to receive Android 6.0.

Moto E (2015)

Initially the Moto E (2015) was not included in the list of Motorola smartphones eligible for Android 6.0. However, Moto E (2015) was added to the list at the start of this month. Hence, it is expected to receive the upgrade soon in 2016. There is no confirmation whether Motorola will release Android 6.0 update for Moto E (2014).

The Moto X Play, Moto X Force and Droid Maxx 2 smartphones that released this year is to receive Android 6.0 upgrade. Also, other Motorola smartphones that are eligible to receive the latest Android software but haven't received yet include Droid Turbo (2014) and Moto Maxx (2014). As of this writing, there is no information on the availability of Android 6.0.1 update for any of the aforementioned Motorola devices.
