Since the announcement of "Pokémon Go" back in September, avid fans have been eager to pick any emerging details about it. Niantic released a very promising trailer, which heightened the same question as to when the game will happen.
Rumors about the release date of the upcoming game are all over, and some sources indicate that the augmented reality game for the mobile phones will be downloadable free as soon as "Pokémon Z" is released, according to Gospel Herald. However, many speculations point towards a 2016 release date, most likely in February. The game is expected to launch during the Pokémon 20th anniversary in 2016.
Although information on the release date is scanty, there are details concerning the game. John Hanke and Mike Quigley from Niantic recently appeared in an interview with Venture Beat to give more information and respond to some questions about the upcoming game.
In the interview, Hanke unveiled that the Pokémon monster could be located in different places of the world. The location would depend on the type of Pokémon.
Hanke said, "Water Pokémon will live near the water. It may be that certain Pokémon will only exist in certain parts of the world. Very rare Pokémon may exist in very few places. But you can trade."
The game developers as well revealed that "Pokémon Go" will be similar to the previously launched "Ingress," which is an augmented-reality largely online location-based game. Developers are ensuring that as gamers get out their houses, they will encounter a wild Pokémon within 5 minutes, although this may not be the rarest Pokémon in the world.
Gamers can as well join many events, which Niantic will organize to trade the Pokémon from their regions with those in other locations. Hanke also said that the game will have gyms, the famous boss battle destinations found in almost all Pokémon games.
