Ever since "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 premiered, the show has reportedly seen a drop in viewership ratings. According to Design & Trend, in the very first few weeks of the current season, the show "struggled" for decent ratings. The series only managed to acquire 1.2 percent ratings on an average. In its fall finale week, the show drew 1.23 rating in the 18 - 49 age-group. The website explains that this is not a good number for a show to survive.

With the decline in the ratings, the future of "NCIS: Los Angeles" remains uncertain. The chances of the series getting renewed for Season 8 is yet unknown. When compared to its parent series "NCIS" (which is currently in its 13th season) and spin-off series "NCIS: New Orleans," the numbers for "NCIS: Los Angeles" are not very impressive.

Meanwhile, CBS is yet to announce its decision for the series' renewal. The show still stands a chance of returning to the television with its Season 8 as it is a CBS' production produced through the network's owned production studio.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 will return with Episode 12 titled "Core Values" on Jan. 4, 2016. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
