New reports say that Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus could bring big improvements in storage and battery life.

The iPhone 7 could feature a 256 GB of storage - the highest in Apple's lineup of iPhone till date and be powered by a 3100mAh battery. The battery would be approximately 12.7 percent larger than the iPhone 6s Plus 2750 mAh capacity, according to Mac Rumors

Each will serve, along with the more obvious size of the device, as major differentiating factors for customers looking to purchase the more expensive, larger iPhone. The additional size option would see Apple’s smartphone offer more internal storage than the current-generation iPad Pro, which caps out at 128GB.

However, it is not yet clear if the iPhone 7 Plus will still have 16GB base storage, or if Apple will opt for larger storage options such as 32GB, 128GB and 256GB, compared to the iPhone 6s Plus lineup of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models.

More plausible rumors for iPhone 7 suggest that it may have a waterproof and dustproof casing, the removal of its 3.5mm headphone jack, additional system RAM, support for USB 3 Lightning support, and and support for wireless charging. The device may also have a faster TSMC-built A10 chip and Intel 7360 LTE modem and non-metallic casing with hidden antenna bands, Apple Insider reported.

Another Apple rumor indicates that the Cupertino-based tech giant is also working on an iPhone 6c which is likely to come with a 1642 mAh battery and 2GB of RAM.

Apple is expected to unveil new iPhone line in September at a special media event.
