New World Hacking is the hacktivist group of 12 people that has claimed its Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) hack attack is the beginning of a year-long series of cyberattacks. It has again argued  that its main target is the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militant group, although it also claimed to take down Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign website.

Trump's site was hacked on the morning of January 2, Saturday. The site's services were restored by around noontime, according to Hacked.

A hacktivist group's member named "Ownz" explained to ZDNet about the purpose of the DDoS hacks. The member claimed its top priority was "unmasking" ISIS and ending its publicity.

New World Hacking also sent a screenshot that supposedly shows an Internet interface that shows a DDoS attack up to 602 Gbps. However, no independent group has verified the group's claim.

Ownz also gave a general explanation of how the group made a hack attack using such a high bandwidth. It claimed it used two Amazon servers.

The hacktivist group explained that it accessed the Amazon servers, and then set the bandwidth's limit to unlimited. It then programmed its own scripts.

New World Hacking claimed it ran a "1 hour test" that disrupted the Donald Trump campaign website. It returned a message to visitors that the site was experiencing a very high volume of Web traffic.

The hacktivist group told Hackread that it is opposed to ISIS, terrorism, and racism, according to International Business Times. It has threatened to attack Trump's website again because it argued he can become very racist.

Meanwhile, the hacking group's attack on the BBC server affected the company's website and other services such as the iPlayer catch-up service and iPlayer Radio app. It claimed the hack attack was a test of its abilities.
