Gypsy Sport - Front Row - Spring 2016 MADE Fashion Week

Fashion brand Louis Vuitton just introduced its model for the company's Spring/Summer 2016 campaign for its women's clothing. And one of the models is a man, 17-year-old Jaden Smith.

Dressed in a moto jacket, fringed sweater, patent leather shoes and embellished skirt, Smith led the campaign along with Sarah Donnealia, Rian Evan Rompaey and Jean Campbell in an edgy photo, titled "The Heroine," taken by Bruce Weber and posted Instagram.

Smith showed that he is a master gender-bender, philosopher and superhero rolled in one, comments Mashable. It notes that the model and actor son of celebrity couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith has been androgynous, having been seen at school in dresses for women. Jaden played the lead role in the remake of "Karate Kid."

Explaining the brand's choice of Smith, Nicolas Ghesquiere, creative director of Louis Vuitton, says, "He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender," quotes E! News.

He adds, "Wearing a skit comes as naturally to him as it would to a woman who, long ago, granted herself permission to wear a man's trench or a tuxedo."

The creative director notes of Smith's ability to convey the integration of a global wardrobe which he attributes to the teen's discovery of an instinctive balance "that makes his extraordinary attitude a new norm."

In 2015, Smith posed photos of himself on Instagram donning a dress that he purchased from TopShop and on Twitter wherein he wrote, "That Moment When Your Wearing  Dress With No Pants And You Swerve Way To Hard."
