Android Marshmallow will start rolling out for LG V10 from March 10, for LG G3 from March 14, while the release of the operating system is imminent for LG G Flex 2 and the LG G Stylo.
Verizon users have already started receiving the LG G3 Marshmallow update recently; however, LG G3 Android Marshmallow update for the international variant will start rolling out in March.
The current flagship device from LG, the LG G4, began receiving the Android Marshmallow update since the last quarter of 2015; however, the update is still rolling out to some users in many parts of the world. Many users are facing delays due to some carrier-related issues.
LG G Flex 2 will also start receiving the Android Marshmallow update this month. Although the date is not revealed yet, it should be expected to happen in early March itself. The same is also expected for the LG V10 along with the LG G Stylo. The early release of Android Marshmallow for G Stylo users will be a bonanza as the device got the Android Lollipop update in Feb. itself.
The Android Marshmallow update is sized at approximately 900 MB and the users will need to connect their smartphones to a stable Wi-Fi connection to download the upgrade without any interruptions. The new Android Marshmallow update will bring a number of changes to the device, that is the LG G4, the LG G Stylo, the LG G3 and the G Flex 2, along with the LG V10.
These changes include the latest Google Now on Tap feature, addition of the Doze mode, inclusion of Android Pay and many more, according to BGR. It will also bring new features to the UI of the device, things like vertical scrolling of the menu icons instead of the earlier version of circular horizontal one.
Android Marshmallow will also provide support for fingerprint scanner, support for USB Type-C connection port, many security fixes, enhancement of the look and feel of the device, and also the extension of the battery life of the phone, according to GSM Arena.
