New "Daredevil" season 2 will feature a new trailer and images of Elektra and the Punisher's new outfits and Kingpin to return to the show.
Netflix began streaming the new promo trailer for "Daredevil" season 2 will feature Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in full Daredevil outfit along with two new Marvel characters the assassin Elektra Nachios (Elodie Yung) and the ruthless vigilante Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), each with their own outfit.
The outfits of the characters were first spotted on several bilboards to promote "Daredevil" season 2 this month on Netflix, Comic Book reported. Season 2 of the show will feature Matt Murdock's crusade as Hell Kitchen's protector, but a new enemy lurks in the shadows and has come to his city, in the form of the myterious ninja organziation called "The Hand".
Daredevil will also take on the dangerous Frank Castle for killig off street criminals, as wells as dealing with Elektra, his former love interest turned ninja assassin. Bernthal stated in an interview that The Punisher will be first introduced as an antagonist of sorts, but he will not be a full fledge villain throughout most of the show. He added that he never took the character as both the hero and bad guy, and tries to get in touch with how Frank Castle is in the comics. What he liked about The Punisher is that he was bold enough to give his version of the character in a 100 percent in one direction and another and then go back to another.
Yung on the other hand, described Elektra as a "sociopath" as she thinks the whole world is a huge game to her, like chess and gets what she wants. She explained that Elektra in the show will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals, even if she need to kill people for it.
In other news, it seems that a returning character from season 1 will make his way into Hell's Kitchen again as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) will likely be added to the show.
Several images were posted around the internet depicting that D'Onofrio was spotted walking on the trailer set for "Daredevil", indicating that Kingpin will not be far off on Matt's crosshairs, MCU Exchange reported.
It is speculated that Kingpin could be playing a different role knowing that presents of the Punisher being the primary antagonist for season 2. It is unknown as to where or when will Wilson Fisk shows up in season 2.
"Daredevil" season will premier on March 18 on Netflix.
