With 30 million copies sold since its inception, "Diablo 3" has been tagged as one of the most successful games of all time, and until now, it is still included on the list of best-selling games ever developed. Two years after the first expansion pack of "Diablo 3," titled "Reaper of Souls," fans are already wondering why Blizzard Entertainment has not released another expansion pack.
However, good thing is that the developer of the franchise never really abandoned "Diablo 3" as they are continuously working and implementing changes and patches to the game. Gamers may not see or heard of new expansion pack for the game title, but there is an upcoming patch note that will surely deliver some changes and improvements to "Diablo 3."
According to Segment Next, a useful information was posted via diablofans.com, wherein it sheds light on the details about numerous character abilities and changes gamers can expect to the upcoming 2.4.1 patch. The said "Diablo 3" 2.4.1 patch will include changes to the abilities of the Demon Hunter, the Witch Doctor, the Crusader, the Barbarian and the Wizard.
The Witch Doctor will have some changes to its abilities, primarily to its "Grasp of the Dead" ability, wherein enemies killed via Grasp of the Dead will now become Zombie Dogs instead of getting health drops.
The Wizard will also experience change to its Archon ability, wherein instead of increasing damage to 300 percent when activating Archon, player's damage maximum percent will only reach 30 percent; Armor and Resistances will receive the same percentage though.
The Crusader, on the other hand, will experience changes to its "Laws of Hope" ability, wherein, the ability will now focus on reducing physical damage. The Crusader's "Hopeul Cry" ability will also receive some alterations like reducing physical health of 25 percent instead of giving 5 percent health drop to its enemies.
The upcoming "Diablo III" patch will also introduce some weapon changes.
A fresh report posted on Blizzard's Diablo blog states that 2.4.1 patch will also introduce some changes to numerous Legendary Gems. Legendary Gems, which were first introduced in "Diablo III" patch 2.1.0, is one of the methods players can use to improve their character's strength. Not all of "Diablo 3's" Legendary Gems will receive overhauls in the upcoming patch, but the numerous Gems to receive alterations includes Enforcer, Gogok of Swiftness, Simplicity's Strength, Taeguk and Mirinae, Teardrop of the Starweaver.
On other "Diablo 3" news, game enthusiasts may be clamoring for a new "Diablo 3" expansion pack; however, Blizzard Entertainment may have a different plan.
A new job listing is now posted on Blizzard's website looking for numerous programmers and artists for its "Diablo" development department; however, the description is quite intriguing as it says "senior character artist for an unannounced project." With that said, it is safe to suggest that there will be no DLC for "Diablo 3," but the developer plans for a new "Diablo" game - "Diablo 4."
