Asians are known for being youthful-looking compared to their western counterparts. People from Asia in their 30s, when place side by side with Americans or Britons, look like only in their late teens or early 20s.
But there are cases when an extremely young in appearance man who is nearly 50 is mistaken as his daughter’s boyfriend and not father. Such is the case of a 47-year-old man from Chengdu, who with his shades, slim figure and tight and apparently wrinkle-free skin, looks like someone who is in his 20s, reported Malaysian Digest.
The photo of the father-and-daughter team, together with a family photo including the girl’s grandmother, has gone viral on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The images got unexpected public attention and comments because no one – except the daughter – look their real ages.
Shanghaiist reported that it is not only the father but also the mother who is 47. The grandmother, meanwhile, could pass off as the mother and the real mother as the older sister. Thus, even the grandmother was praised for her good and youthful look even if she should be in her mid-60s already.
Many Weibo users believe the family is genetically blessed with good and young looks. But some think they also used a popular Chinese photo app Meitu which comes in desktop, iPhone, Android, iPad and web versions. Founded in 2008, Meitu is a leading mobile internet platform in China that makes available hardware and software products to make subjects of photos more beautiful.
