The latest details for the "Suicide Squad" movie will feature Common's character name and the film will still have a PG-13 rating.
Several rumors are making rounds that regarding American hip-hop rapper and movie star Common's role in "Suicide Squad" as he stated in an interview session with Complex that he will be playing a mysterious character who goes by the name "Monster T", who is doing some business with the film's primary antagonist, The Joker (Jared Leto).
The IMDB cast list for "Suicide Squad" confirmed that Common is playing Monster T, however, when viewers clicked Monster T, the link opens with the name "Tattooed Man" on the website. As seen in the photos, Common's character could be amalgam of Tattooed Man since his character is covered with different tattoos and piercings.
Common has been rumored to play several DC characters for DC Extender Universe such as Bronze Tiger, Black Manta and Doctor List. Some theorized that Monster T is cover up name for Tattooed Man or a different take of the character for the DCEU.
In other news, It seems that Warner Bros. are fully intended to have the "Suicide Squad" remain a PG-13 film despite everyone thinking it deserves a R-rating.
Film producer Charles Roven told Collider that Warner Bros. has no plans to limit the the potential audience with more adult ratings in their movies such as "Suicide Squad" and the "Justice League" live-action movie.
When asked about other DC characters such as Lobo who has potential into have a standalone film, Rover stated that he is a fan of these DC characters, but he is not producing them as he is currently busy producing "Justice League" at the moment.
While this leaves that possibility for other DC characters open up to have rated R content in their individual movies. For now, Warner Bros. is keeping their films to have PG-13 ratings in order to make them marketable for the people around the globe.
The film centers on a group of criminals and supervillains gathered by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), under the command of Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) to save the world. These characters include Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Queen (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Slipknot (Adam Beach) and the Enchantress (Cara Delevingne).
"Suicide Squad" will be showing in cinemas on Aug. 5.
