The producers of the upcoming movie, "Bounty Hunters," have officially released the first image still cuts that features the film's star-studded cast, heightening the anticipation for its premiere.
In the released pictures, Lee Min Ho appears no less menacing while portraying the lead role of Yi-San, one of the bounty hunters who chase fugitives in return of money. The still cuts also show the star-studded cast, including Tiffany Tang, Wallace Chung, Karena Ng, Louis Fan and Jones Xu, who respectively portrays a pivotal role in the film.
The image, first published in Naver, was accompanied by a caption, which informed fans of what to expect in the film. It has been learned that the Lee and famous Hong Kong singer-actor, Chung, will play brothers in "Bounty Hunters," while actress Tang will play the provocative, charismatic character named Wonder Woman Cat, who falls in love with Lee's character.
The joint Chinese-Korean film illustrates the story of a group of top-notch bounty hunters, who do not recognize national boundaries when chasing their target fugitives across countries in Asia. With an estimated budget between $16 and $31 million, the filming locations took place in South Korea, Mainland China, Thailand and Hong Kong.
The 28-year-old Hallyu star, who first made his leading role in 2015's box office hit, "Gangnam Blues," has been in China from April 13 to April 15 to attend several promotional events of the upcoming film. Due to his irrefutable worldwide popularity, some speculated that the film would definitely become a major hit.
According to earlier reports, Lee revealed that he underwent martial arts training for several months before filming the film, specifically on Arnis and Kali, a class of Filipino martial arts that emphasizes weapon-based. The actor ahead to share few details about his character.
"He is a smart and cure character who is a skilled martial artist," Drama Fever quoted the actor as saying to a group of reporters during the film's press conference at China in 2015. "It's something I've never done before and I hope it will be fun to watch."
"Bounty Hunters" will be hitting the Chinese theaters on June 9, based on the script written by "IP Man's" Edmond Wong along with South Korean director, Shin Tae Ra, at the helm. Check out the video below:
