Samsung is rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7.
According to Android Community, the rollout has started in Germany and will commence in other countries soon. The countries next in line for the update are Spain, India, Croatia, North America, Italy, Holland, Canada and Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the device which is getting the Android Marshmallow update has the model number SM-T815. The version of the firmware, which is being released for this device is T815XXU2BPD6.
The Android Marshmallow release is happening in a phased-manner and users should check their devices to see if they are being prompted for a operating system update. To do so, they need to go to Settings> About device> Check for Updates.
Moreover, the Android Marshmallow update is said to be over 1 GB in size. Hence, users are also advised to download the update over a stable Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, their device should also be charged to a power source, in case it has less than 50 percent battery levels.
The Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S2 Tab 9.7 has support for the Nexus Imprint API's, which enables quick and easy unlocking through fingerprints. Its multi-user mode is also enhanced, so that the whole family can enjoy a single device, albeit with their own customized settings. It can also support numerous user accounts with ease and reliability.
On the other hand, Samsung is on an Android Marshmallow releasing spree. It has also released the update for numerous other devices such as Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge Plus, S6 Edge, Note 5 amongst others. Network carriers such as T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T have updated their users with the latest operating system upgrade.
Furthermore, the Android Marshmallow update is designed in such a manner that its unique features enable the user to have a better usability experience alongwith increased battery life. The context features for Google Now allows them to use the vast features of Google Now quickly, according to BGR.
