New details for the rumored "Crash Bandicoot" reboot will feature a possible appearance at E3 2016 and an easter egg of the game found in "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End".
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the return of one of Sony and Naughty Dogs most successful game series, "Crash Bandicoot" in the PlayStation 4 and its possible appearance at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event on June, WhatCulture reported.
This all started when the official Twitter page of PlayStation Middle-East tweeted an photo of Crash Bandicoot, which spark the assumption by the many netizens and gaming fans that the game series will make its come back soon. PlayStation Latin America also tweeted another Crash Bandicoot photo sporting a more remastered look, thus teasing the possibilty of a new game franchise.
NECA director Randy Falk stated in an interview that if Sony plans on bringing back the "Crash Bandicoot" game series to the PS4, NECA will be interested in creating collectible toys and merchandises with them. However, a representative from NECA stated that "it is not the case" as someone just "misunderstood" the comment made by Falk and that he just saw a fan-made image and said that if the game were to come back, they would love to do figures for Sony.
Both Sony and NECA had an interesting working relationship as they worked in making products from other video game titles like "Uncharted 4", "Little Big Planet" and "God of War".
Meanwhile, YouTube username Hexoradon posted a gameplay video of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" revealing a potential spoiler and possibilty that "Crash Bandicoot" could return.
During a cutscene from "Uncharted 4", Elena challenges Drake to play video games with her as Drake picks up the controller, viewers will notice that the console they are playing is the first PlayStation console and game on screen is "Crash Bandicoot", VG 24/7 reported.
With this in mind, could Sony and Naughty Dog planning to have the"Crash Bandicoot" series for the fourh generation console, now that they planted an easter egg of it in "Uncharted 4". If so, then gamers will have to wait for an announcement from them soon until the E3 2016 event.
"Crash Bandicoot" was original developed by Naught Dog and it was exclusive only for the PlayStation console. The original game debut in 1996 and was re-launched in 2007 as a downloadable game in the PSN. In addition, 2016 marks that 20th Anniversary of the beloved video game franchise and fans are still hoping for a "Crash Bandicoot" reboot for the PS4.
