New details for "Fallout 4" will feature the official release date and trailer for "Far Harbor" DLC, as well as the launching of update 1.5 and "Survival Mode" for the console version this week.
Bethesda Softworks streamed the trailer for "Fallout 4's" third upcoming DLC expansion, "Far Harbor" as players embark on another quest and new dangers within the game. The upcoming DLC will feature players doing another job for Nick Valentine's agency involving the mysterious and creepy island settlement of "Far Harbor" as they search for a missing young woman and a secret colony of Synths.
In the "Far Harbor" DLC trailer, players will encounter more mutated and dangerous creatures based on angler fish, lizards, insects and water logged ghouls. They will also have to navigate through the growing conflict between three factions within the island such as the Children of Atom, the Synths and the local townfolk of Far Harbor, VG 24/7 reported.
The release date for the "Far Habor" DLC will be on May 19 and it will be the largest landmass within "Fallout 4" rivaling that of "Shivering Isles" expansion of The Elders Scroll 4: Oblivion. Several items from the "Far Harbor" DLC have already been leaked online such as Boxcars, Scaffholdings, Armor Racks, Weapon Racks, Power Armor, Display Cases and many more.
The file size for the DLC is rumored to be at 2.69GB and cost around $24.99.
In other news, Bethesda will be launching the update 1.5 and "Survival Mode" for "Fallout 4" in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week.
The official Twitter page of Bethesda tweeted the console users can expect the new update and "Survival Mode" on Friday, May 6. The update 1.5 was first released in the PC platform during its beta test along with new Creation Mod kits, which can be downloaded for free in the Bethesda.net launcher.
Bethesda added that "Survival Mode" in "Fallout 4" is built on four pillars: Strategy, Exploration, Resource Management and Role Playing. Based on these pillars, Bethesda was able to make "Survival Mode" tough and challenging for gamers.
Auto-saves will be taken off, meaning if the player dies, they will probably lose a ton of time. Players can save their game when they sleep, making it so finding a bed to rest on is a chief concern, especially during tough missions. Fast travel is also removed within the game, meaning gamers will have to travel the Wastelands the hard way, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
"Fallout 4" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
